Read the first article: The Foundations of Missiology

As an IMB missionary, I am biased towards this amazing journal. However, I still want to share as the agency begins their publication. The IMB has a long history of 175 years, and some historically great missiologists as well as scores of unknown but effective practitioners.
This first issue is an introduction of sorts to the DNA of who we are. Each article is a deeper dive into what we believe is the core of the missionary task. Before we get there, though, Zane Pratt examines the foundations.
Many conversations today will ground missions in the cultural exchange between communication and the host culture. Pratt calls us back to re-examine our evangelical foundation and what it means to do missions from our core convictions of the clarity and sufficiency of scripture.
